I noted a round robin email from Rasmus in Copenhagen this morning, complaining that “landing tabs” – the feature that lets you decide what tab non-fans arrive at, seems to have disappeared from Facebook pages. There’s been quite a bit of industry on the blogs such as all facebook and mashable explaining how to make landing tabs and its something we at Nudge have made quite a few of.
But as of today they are gone… perhaps never to return?

And rightly so.
These were used to create spam pages where you were invited to see a picture of a celeb or vode for something, but all you saw was a page saying “Click the LIKE button to see the image” or something of the sort.
Obviously, nothing really happened after you clicked “like’ – you didn’t get the content you came for, and most people just left without noticing that by leaving the Like on, they are allowing the group admin to write spam to their news stream.
So good thing this feature was taken off.
